While walking to office today, a thought occured to me.This has also been the topic of debate in office many a times at lunch.”When do u say that a particular city leads a fast life, or rather the people of the city lead a fast life?”
Jignesh feels,”When a city has fast transportation, then we can call it fast!”.
Here are my thoughts on this….When you are doing a lot of things in a day, to the extent that even 24 hrs of the day seem less.Time simply flies!!… that is when u can say u r leading a fast life.
When a city gives you reasons to travel to every corner of it, for reasons like study, work or even for recreation; watever the reasons may be! In my case I travelled from Andheri to Navi Mumbai during my BE, now I come to office in Borivali and dont mind catching a movie in VT during weekends!!! The more exposure the city provides in all areas of life, thats when it becomes a fast city!
Im lucky….im part of one of world’s fastest cities - MUMBAI!!!

A Well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $500/-
note. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this 500 note?”.
Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this note to one
of you but first let me do this”. He proceeded to crumple the note
up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?”. Still the hands were up in
the air.
“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?”. And he dropped it on the
ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He
picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?”
Still the hands went into the air. “My friends, you have all learned
a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still
wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $
500/-.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into
the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our
way. We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never
lose your value. You are special Don’t ever forget it! Never let
yesterday’s disappointments overshadow tomorrow’s dreams.

I have been looking for an online planet system written in PHP for the last few days. The goal is to collect multiple RSS feeds and show them on a single site. Now it is possible to write up a script for this, and there are a few available. But I wanted something with more features. Something like the Planet in Python.
I shortlisted MetaPlanet and Gregarius. And found Gregarius to be very interesting. MetaPlanet configuration is a bit demanding, and it does not seem to be in active development any more. Gregarius on the other hand, is very well designed. Their website is also very informative and it’s under active development.

Three wishes I have for Gregarius:
1. I wish it had a calendar feature!
2. I wish I could easily make it a simple Planet, rather than an RSS Aggregator.
3. I wish it could handle img tags in the feeds better, and show proper images!
